What Should You Look for in Snowboard Goggles?

Snowboard goggles are a crucial element to your snowboarding experience. At the end of the day, if your vision is not where it needs to be, you're going to be at an immediate disadvantage in the mountain. Not to say the other four basic senses aren't as important but when it comes to charging black diamonds, the whole vision thing is a good thing to have.

Jokes aside, a good pair of goggles has a lot to do with your preference of style and what type of conditions you see yourself taking on. If you're the type to get after the groomers on bluebird you may have a different preference than a powder seeking snowboarder.

One of the most important factors is comfortability. Things like lens shape and helmet compatibility can be crucial to how your goggles are going to fit. Making sure that your goggles are going to work in tandem with your helmet should be step one.

Step two would be figuring out the type of lens you would like. Darker tints are better for sunny, blue bird days and lighter tints are more helpful for flatter lighting or snowstorms. Other things to take into consideration as well would be goggles that aren't going to fog up as easily or a pair that have good UV protection.

Overall, it's a big preference game but it is important to decide on a pair of snowboard goggles with performance in mind and not the external style.

The Best Snowboard Goggles

There are many routes that a snowboarder can go down in the world of purchasing a pair of goggles. Investing in goggles that are going to be there for you when you end them to be and provide an advantage to you on the mountain.

While keeping your budget and style preference in mind, there is definitely a pair of goggles on this list that will work for you.
