Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard. Podcasts are the new thing, they have made a comeback. 





Podcasts can come up clutch for long drives, work shifts, or relaxation times. Luckily for us as skiers, many of us drive hours to get to the slopes, work hard for some extra money for skis, and need to relax after a powder turn packed day on our skis. 


This article is going to give you 10 must listen podcasts for skiers for you to listen to next time you catch yourself thinking, visualizing, or dreaming about your next ski adventure. 


The 10 Best Ski Podcasts


The SnowBrains Podcast: 


Miles Clark is what is considered a ski genius. He is the CEO and founder of SnowBrains, a UC Berkeley alumni with a degree in Molecular Cell Biology, and a professional skier. Clark knows just about everything you could want to know about skiing or snowboarding, from the science of the climate, snow forecasts, avalanches, fitness needed for skiing and so much more.


His podcasts feature extremely interesting interviews with extremely experienced and knowledgeable guests where they talk about all things ski related. 

The Bomb Hole


Hosted by professional snowboarder, Chirs Grenier, this podcast is a true deep dive type podcast that explores the journey of its guests. If you are someone who is looking for a longer, couple hour long episode, weekly podcast than The Bomb Hole could be a good fit. From their greatest achievements to their “bomb hole” moments, some of the top athletes of snowboarding are featured on this podcast giving you the inside and out details of their careers. 


The Ski Podcast


The Ski Podcast is exactly what it sounds like. This podcast dips into every category of skiing and snowboarding information and category that you could think of. Gear reviews, destination guides, in depth interviews and more. This being said it's no shock it has received as many awards as it has and that is thanks to its host, Iain Martin. Martin is a freelance journalist and digital marketing consultant, specializing in sports. 


Low Pressure Podcast:


Self proclaimed the best podcast in skiing and the first podcast in skiing, Low Pressure Podcast was founded by Mark Warner. LPP has been a podcast of the people for many years and has found success in down to earth interviews and behind the scenes details of different ski destinations. Episodes are usually held for just around an hour and come out once or twice a month. 


Skiing is Believing Podcast:


Where are all my hardcore ski racers at? If that is you or you're interested in the ski race game this podcast is for you to keep up with every FIS World Cup race of the season. Matt Garcka and Alan Rigg are the two hosts who analyze and dissect just about every detail of each race while also providing interviews with experienced gurus of the ski racing world. 


The Big Picture Podcast:

Tom Gellie is your host as he gets into the nitty gritty details of the ski world through interviews with industry experts and technical skiers. Some of the episodes will go as specific as certain boot adjustments skiers can make to be more comfortable, ski mechanics in the legs and motivation and desire to become better at skiing. Gellie has interviewed skiers with the best forms in the world and are giving you free tips to step up your game. 


Totally Deep Backcountry Skiing Podcast:


This podcast is hosted by Doug Stenclik and Randy Young and is suitable for the uphill and backcountry skiing community. The two hosts have a plethora of knowledge and experience to give out to anyone who wants to listen. From gear to technique they are ready to provide everything they can. Snowboard advice is offered as well as splitboarding and Randonnée. 



The Dirtbag Diaries:


While not just a ski podcast, Dirtbag Diaries is a podcast from Outdoor writer Fitz Cahall and the Duct Tape Then Beer team present stories about the dreamers, athletes and wanderers.


With shorter formed content about climbing, running, traveling, biking and more along with skiing this is a podcast for the adventurer personality.

It's important for some to keep the spiritual side into skiing and this podcast is a potential outlet for someone looking for another point of view or perspective on life. 


Next Level Skiing:


This podcast offers some quick tips and tricks that everyone could use and think of in order to take their ski game to the next level, or maybe up a few levels. Hosted by veteran ski journalist, Jason Blevins, the Next Level Skiing podcast talks to the sport’s luminaries and behind the scenes bosses, in order to get to these next levels that were previously mentioned. Things besides just “skiing more”. 


The Ski Bum Podcast:


Plain and simple, this podcast is your escape into the minds of two ski bums, Brian and Mario.


The two hosts bring on guests, tell personal stories, talk about recent events and have been doing this for a long time. With over 300 episodes in the portfolio these guys are experienced and know what they are doing.
