This iconic pass introduces local resort skiers to incredible experiences at the top destinations all over the world.
Here is the list of the top 10 Ikon Pass destinations in 2025.
10 Best Ikon Pass Ski Destinations
Alta/Snowbird
Located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just outside of Salt Lake City, Alta and Snowbird are connected resorts that provide some of the best terrain and snow there is.
These resorts receive an average of over 500 inches of snowfall every year to sustain a long season.
Alta is one of the few resorts left that does not allow snowboarders, but Snowbird is open to all. Take the scenic tram ride from the bass to top elevation and enjoy Snowbird’s beautiful panoramic views. It's hard to argue there's any other place in the world that the top skiers and snowboarders would rather ride at.
Jackson Hole
What started as a hidden gem in the Grand Teton Mountains, Jackson Hole has quickly become one of the most sought after resorts for true ski bums.
Whether you're looking to conquer Corbet's Couloir or just get a tasty waffle at the top of the Aerial Tram, Jackson Hole is known for incredible terrain inside and outside of the resort's boundaries, not to mention the flat out stunning beauty that surrounds it.
The resort is located just outside of Jackson, Wyoming.
Palisades Tahoe
California here we come! The spring skiing capital of the world happens to also be a winter wonderland when the snow delivers.
Palisades Tahoe is home to legendary lifts like KT-22 and all of the challenging runs that come under that.
When Palisades is at its best, there's no nowhere else that a true ski enthusiast would rather be. Another perk Palisades has is their new Base to Base Gondola that can take you over to Alpine Meadows and unleash you to more excellent terrain and views of the incredible Lake Tahoe.
Chamonix Mt Blanc
If you're interested in some croissants and fine wine after a day on the slopes then Chamanoix could be the place for you.
This is a great opportunity to get abroad and explore some of the best skiing that the French Alps has to offer. There are a handful of resorts that are offered in Chamonix, all with excellent and diverse terrain.
Expert skiers love this area because of its steep elevation drop and the long, challenging runs that it provides. Extra attractiveness for the skiers that like to participate in Apres as well, with some of the most vibrant and lively vibes - post skiing.
Aspen
Known for its boujee culture, celebrity sightings, and the Winter X-Games, Aspen offers four different resorts throughout the town that can fit any skier's desire.
Whether you're looking to work on your freestyle game at Buttermilk or hike up to the top of the beautiful Highland Bowl, or cruise through Snowmass’ village there's truly something for everyone. Aspen combines some of the best luxury amenities, pumping apres ski culture, and expert terrain all into one fantastic ski town.
Mammoth
Mammoth Mountain is located in one of the most underrated areas in all of California. This remote and scenic location makes Mammoth all that more special. Mammoth has excellent terrain all over its 3500 acres.
With one of the longest ski seasons they average over 400 inches of snowfall throughout the winter before turning into a spring skiing paradise. It also serves as a family friendly atmosphere with plenty of diverse runs from bunny hills to challenging chutes off the McCoy Gondola or Chair 23.
Revelstoke
Are you up for a trip up north to the great country of maple syrup and hockey. Well Canada also has some incredible mountain ranges and ski resorts to go with that. Revelstoke Mountain resort is at the top of that list and is also on the Ikon Pass.
Some could argue it's one of the last hidden gems to the average American skier. Revelstoke is steep with a capital S, it has the most vertical in North America at 5,620 feet to ski. If you consider yourself to be a top notch expert on the slopes then giddy up for your next challenge at Revelstoke in British Columbia.
Big Sky
Big Sky is the most popular ski resort in Montana. It is big in size and steep in drop. While it may be popular as a summer destination for tourists, it also exceeds expectations in the winter.
The landscape and area is absolutely stunning and jaw dropping. One of the best parts about Big SKy is not just how much snow they get but the cold temperatures that make the snow on the mountain so much more enjoyable.
There is nothing better than light and fluffy snow to rip through. Get out there and see for yourself using your beloved Ikon pass.
Arapahoe Basin
It would be a shame to the sport of skiing and snowboarding if this legendary Colorado resort did not get represented on this list. Arapahoe Basin or “A Basin” is located along the Loveland Pass just a little ways away from Denver.
A Basin is known for its high elevation summit where the only way is down, and down is fun for expert skiers at this resort.
